The Baltic Capital Markets Acceleration Fund is the first initiative of its kind in the region. With a target size exceeding €50 million, the fund provides long-term financing and invests in Baltic companies with clear plans to go public, acting as a catalyst for accelerating the development of local capital markets. By helping companies prepare for the listing process, the fund seeks to unlock growth opportunities, increase market liquidity, and attract a broader investor base to the region. €38.8 million was invested in the fund by institutional investors ILTE and ALTUM.

Investment Principles

The fund’s strategy is based on clear and disciplined principles:

  • Companies planning to enter public markets — the fund invests in SMEs and innovative mid-caps with clear plans to become publicly listed companies. Investments are directed into newly issued share capital or bond placements.
  • Broad investment strategy — focusing on established and commercially viable companies with enterprise values of €5–100 million, which are expected to form the core of the portfolio.
  • Baltic-first focus — the majority of capital will be allocated to Lithuanian and Latvian companies, with the remaining part available for investments in the broader CEE region.
  • Fund’s contribution — individual ticket sizes of €2–7 million, with the fund typically providing up to 50% of the total financing raised. The fund often acts as a lead or anchor investor, inviting others to join, but can also participate as a co-investor alongside trusted partners.
